Day 6-Breakfast/Circular Quay-12/31/2017

We walked around our neighborhood looking for a place to have breakfast and we found Caffe Cherry Beans which is about 5 minutes walk from our hotel.

The store front

The restaurant's logo,

It takes lot of practice to pour the cream on top to make it a nice design.

Ham and egg sandwich

We came back the next morning and ordered different items on the menu.

Their sandwiches are pretty good and the portion is large so I share my sandwich with Hoa.

Circular Quay

After Breakfast we walked to Circular Quay (near the Opera house).  More than a million people flock to the Sydney harbor every New Year's Eve to nab uninterrupted panoramic views.

People usually come to circular quay very early to stay in line and hang out the whole day here and have the best spot to watch the fireworks.

In preparation for New Year's eve celebration, barricades are set up.

Safety check point before entering the area.

I was raining a bit but that did not stop people to come here.

This is around 8ish and there is already a line.

Actually, we were surprised that there are already a lot of people staying in line to get in the harbor.

Umbrellas are out, people are staying in line...

The harbor is closed at this time as they do not let people in yet so people are lining up to get the best spots.

Line every where...

I told Hoa we should leave as there is no way I will stay inline here the whole day to watch the fireworks.

We gave up and we are leaving...

10-15 minutes ago when we got here this area was empty and it is now filled with people.

Good luck guys!
