Jason's and Nancy Wedding in New York -7/1/06

The ceremony

Lan Huong in front of our hotel.  We are ready to hop on a taxi and on our way to the wedding.

The wedding is inside this building in Long Island. We thought we got lost because this is an industrial area.  Nobody was around except for the people going to the wedding.  I recognized Nancy's dad in front so I knew we were at the right place.

This is the first thing you see when you get in the building.  A really old and beat up stairway... We were a little shock and we could not help but wondering what is this place?

As soon as you get up the stairs stand an old metal door... what's next?  We are now scared to open the door!

To our surprise the inside was beautiful!  The room had a lot of old charm and it was very welcoming.

The entrance of the Groom's men carrying the Chupah (canopy). Note that the fabric is made out of Chinese silk representing the Asian heritage on both side.  The wedding ceremony takes place under the Chupah, a symbol of the home to be built and shared by the couple.  It is open on all sides to welcome friends and relatives in unconditional hospitality.
