Spring Break in Las Vegas 4/2005

Climbing at the M&M Center
It wouldn't be Las Vegas if Gameworks didn't have the largest, longest or biggest something-or-other. What it has is the tallest free-standing climbing wall, the 75ft 'Surge Rock'. If you are fit enough, for $10 you can pit yourself against gravity and scale the rock and that is exactly what Kevin is living for...
This what Kevin is looking for each time we stop in Las Vegas. Climbing is definitely one of his passion. |
Here he is ready to climg the rock... There
are 3 difficulty levels, this time Kevin decided to take the
intermediate level.
The first few steps up...
So far this was fairly easy...
O.k. this is getting difficult because the surface of the rock is curving out, thus needing strong arms to hold on. |
Unfortunately, he could not hold on the rock and let go of it. Good thing he was strapped. |
Kevin tried it a second time and succeed to move up. |
Hoa and I we were just sweating with fear....this is the equivalent of about 3 floors up.
A few more steps before reaching the top..
Kevin reached the top and is ringing the Bell |
On his way down.... |
Next... Palm Desert
