Christmas in Vegas -24 and 25, 2008

After Dinner we decided to walk around the Venetian hotel..

Cascade inside the Venetian hotel

I thought this is interesting that they filled the water with fresh cranberries creating a festive mood.

While walking around the hotel we stumbled on B&B restaurant owned by Batali and Bastianich.  This one looks more upscale and hopefully the food is better than the Enoteca San Marco.

This is another fancy restaurant by David Burke.

The cuisine is modern-American cuisine, adding to the hotel’s prestigious list of James Beard Award winning chef owned restaurants. Burke has partnered with E-Brands Restaurants to create his restaurant, aptly named, David Burke.

We noticed that the restaurant was very empty, there were about 2 or 3 tables with customers in the whole restaurants...

Pinot Noir restaurant is also empty... all these nice restaurants and barely any customers!

Dinner at Enoteca San Marco was a disaster so the next evening we decided to eat at Mon Ami Gabi in Paris hotel.  They have great steaks, tasty French fries and the bread they served felt like they just came out of the oven.  We ordered some escargots, a plate of cold cuts, I shared a 24 ounce Rib-eye steak with Kevin and Hoa had the steak aux poivres.  We were happy to have a very good meal there.  The next time I am in Vegas I am going back to Mon Ami Gabi!
