Labor Day weekend in Truckee - 9/06

Mai-ly and Tuan invited the group to spend the Labor day weekend in Truckee at Mai-Anh' (Mai-Ly's sister) and Jude's estate in Truckee.

This the Main house located on a 5 acre lot. It took Jude about three years to built it.  The main pillars of the house were made with pine trees that was cut to clear the land on the property. The  picture does not do justice to how massive and unique the pillars are.

The main entrance.

View from the Living room. The tall and big windows let in lots of light into the room.

Beautiful Brazilian hard wood floor and magnificent beams on the ceiling.  The fire place is made of rocks and I am sure when it is lit up it will make the place very cozy and warm.

Now imagine the same scenery in the winter where everything is covered with snow from the ground to the top of the roof to the branch on the trees.

Now, take a look at this tractor!

Jude uses it to plow the snow and clear the drive way!  This is just crazy!

for sure you are going to see this tractor in our backyard any time soon.

The Guest house

This is the side view of the Guest House.  The Guest House used to be Mai-Anh's and Jude's main living quarter while they were building the main house.  The Guest house has 4 bedrooms, a large kitchen, a nice Living Room, and can accommodate comfortably 4 families.  And yes, it also has a 3 Car Garage and plenty of parking space on the property.

This is the front of the Guest House.  The Guests House is about 1,800 square feet.
