Shopping centers/Museum Lunch all over town Renaissance hotel

The last Days in Saigon...

Shopping Centers...

We had such a great time touring Vietnam but now we need to slow down a bit and just take it easy for our last 3 days in the city.

We spent most of those 3 days going shopping, visiting Museums, trying out all kind of restaurants and just walking around town and talking to locals.

Eden Shopping Center is a brand new shopping center.

Stores inside the shopping center.

Lucky Plaza!  I bought some scarves and a bunch of souvenirs there.

We are now inside Saigon Square shopping.  This one has a even a supermarket inside the mall.

.

The boys waiting for us next while we are looking and checking out the stores.

A store selling Sandwiches and French pastries inside the mall.

The pastries did not look too appetizing to me.

Visting Museums...

Ho Chi Minh city Museum (Bao Tang Than Pho Ho Chi Minh)

Not worth your time going to this Museum!  There is nothing interesting to see with the exception that the building by itself is worth checking out!  Built in 1885, by who else but the French.   It used to be the Gia Long Palace during Ngo Dinh Diem, and during Nguyen van Thieu it used to be the Supreme court.  The inside is old but I can imagine the beauty that once radiated.

Built by the French but the architecture is definitely Roman/Greek design with long tall colonnades.

The entrance of the Museum

Out on the side is parked an old Citroen Car reminiscing the old French Era.  Missing is the chauffeur dressed in a white uniform and wearing a white cap waiting to drive Monsieur or Madame.

Beautiful stairway inside the museum.  The don't make anything even close to the old fashion way anymore!

Details of a lamp on the wall

A couple getting married and taking picture in the garden.

Another couple is preparing for their wedding shots next to the Citroen car.

Looks like this place is popular for Wedding picture!

On one side of the garden a helicopter is parked there.  I am not sure of the history behind it..

We left without reading the sign... Like I said I was more interested in the building that what they have to offer in this Museum.

The War Remnants Museum was to me a lot more interesting.

Next...Lunch all over town
