Holiday Dinner chez Maily/Tuan -12/20/08

Dinner

The kids were the first in line for dinner.

Maily served a Chicken stew, Sautéed broccoli rabe (rapini) with Italian sausage, Brussels Sprouts, salad, couscous, etc..

Hanh getting some food before sitting down...

The kids surrounded the buffet table so we are just waiting for for our turn to grab some food.

Good company, great food... we are so lucky to have such good friends.

Doan is so sweet she brought a gift for all the ladies seen here  with white box wrapped with a red bow.

Entertaining by the kids

Since this is the holidays season, Maily wanted to involve the children by asking them to be provide some entertainment for the evening.  She encouraged them to sing, play Xmas carols, play the piano, or group singing.  Anyway, all the kids did have advanced warning so they came to the party ready to perform something for us.

The kids sitting down and ready to perform...

Anh's is Hanh's cousin from Vietnam.  She is attending college in Kentucky and is spending some time with Hanh's family for the holidays.

Ryan and Jason looking at Nicky as he is going to be the first performer tonight.

Nicky choose to play a Christmas song for us.

Spencer performed the Star War theme song

Kevin Performed a piece that he recently memorized for his piano recital

Jason and Kevin Vu (can't really see Kevin on this picture) performed a really nice song from their recent Piano recital.

Here Kevin was just happy that he finished his piano performance and now he can relax and goof off.

Ryan and Rachel sharing a good laugh.

Next, the kids decided as a group to sing Rudolf the red nosed reindeer.

Jason is the vocal lead.

Good job kids but just make sure to not quit your day time job anytime soon!

The parents cheering...

I am not sure what the kids did here but it looks like we are having a lot of laughter.

This the end of all the performances and all the parents are clapping!

This is actually really fun, we should repeat this every year but I am not sure if the kids will go for it the next year!
