4 days in Budapest-07/21-7/24/2018
Once the sun come down the city of Budapest is illuminated and the best way to enjoy the view of the city is to buy tickets for a river cruise on the Danube.
You can either opted for a full dinner, wine tasting or just get 2 drinks. We went with 2 drinks only as we already have dinner.
There are lot of people taking this boat tour. We are heading to a meeting point and just following people.
The boat is actually pretty big with many levels.
Bought our tickets and we are now boarding.
There are lots of people staying in line to get in the boat. It is well organized and it takes maybe 10-15 minutes for everybody to get onboard.
The Chain bridge and Buda Castle on top of the hill in the distance
Once in the boat there are different areas for people who are opting for dinner, wine tasting, or you can also opted for 2 drinks.
There classical music and contemporary music depending where you are seating in the boat.
We had a table in the bottom deck of the boat and you cannot really see much but just listen to music.
We share our table with a bunch of people.
Once the boat is starting to move and we already had our drinks, most of the people are leaving this area to go to top deck to get an open view of the city.

Sailing away from Buda Castle. You can also see a boat (same like ours) taking tourists our on a tour on the Danube.
On top of the hill is the Liberty Statue or Freedom Statue on the Gellért Hill. It commemorates those who sacrificed their lives for the independence, freedom, and prosperity of Hungary.
The 14 m tall bronze statue stands atop a 26 m pedestal and holds a palm leaf. This bridge is called Liberty bridge.

It was first erected in 1947 in remembrance of the Soviet liberation of Hungary during World War II which ended the occupation by Nazi Germany.
Its location on Gellért Hill makes it a prominent feature of Budapest's cityscape.
