4 days in Paris -12/14-12/17/2018
We are meeting Alex, my nephew and his girlfriend Lea at Les Fables de la Fontaine, a quaint little bistro with a Michelin star about 10 feet away from our apartment.
I told Alex where we were staying and he googled the address and found Les Fables de La Fontaine as it is so close to our apartment.
We passed by this restaurant so many times and we always wanted to give it a try so I am glad we got a chance to eat here.

Very nice presentation.
Red beet, horseradish mousse, smoked eel, ginger, shizo
Alex ordered this dish and he gave it two thumbs up. |
Lea went with Tuna tartare, grilled avocado with toasted grains. |
Looks delicious and healthy.
Hoa and I we did not want to eat too much for lunch so we only selected 1 main dish. This is my selected a roasted Sea bass, roasted squash and sautéed spinach.
The fish was cooked really nicely. Lovely dish.

Roasted hake, steamed mussels, young roasted leeks, herb pesto sauce, curdle milk.
Another successful dish.
Braise beef with spices, roasted celeriac, BB sauce with onion/apple condiment.

On to dessert.... this is one of their signature dessert.
Rice pudding soufflé with caramel sauce, and vanilla ice cream
So yummy!
Pistachio short bread, cottage cheese mouse, ginger crumble.
Hoa and I we shared the soufflé and we ate pretty much the whole thing-super delicious.
They also brought out warm madeleine, courtesy of the house.
Ending the meal with cup of coffee.
This is a very nice bistro and Alex did a great job picking the restaurant but the best part is be able to spend time with Alex and Lea. They drove over 2 hours from Le Mans jut to spend time with us. We had an excellent time and we are so glad to see both of them.
