3 weeks in Bali, Indonesia- 5/28- 6/15/2024
Day 6- Finns Club, Canggu-6/1/2024
Finns Beach Club in Canggu is one of those places that feels like its own little world, huge, colorful, loud, and constantly buzzing with energy. We got there around 4:00 pm, for a drinks and to watch the sunset.

The entrance to Finns feels almost like walking into a resort rather than a beach club. As you approach, the first thing that stands out is that dramatic, tall triangular roof, sharp lines, soaring height, and a shape that naturally pulls your eyes upward.

It has that modern-tropical Bali look, where architecture feels open, airy, and impressive all at once.

Underneath that huge roof is the lobby area, and it’s glowing with warm light from the clusters of bamboo lamps hanging above you. Some are big woven domes, others more elongated, all layered at different heights so the whole space feels soft and welcoming.

The lobby is wide and bustling, staff helping guests check in, people lining up for wristbands, the buzz of music drifting in from inside the club. Even though you’re not yet inside the main area, you can already feel the energy building.

The design is both stylish and relaxed, giving you a preview of the aesthetic: natural materials, dramatic shapes, and a touch of Bali playfulness. The bamboo lamps create a golden ambience that contrasts nicely with the concrete and wood details around the entrance.

Walking through that entrance feels like stepping into a different world, the beach club version of a grand, tropical welcome. This place is massive when you walked around. The club is spread across multiple zones, each color-coded so you instantly know whether you're in the VIP section, the party pool area, or one of the quieter lounges.

If you buy a bottle of alcohol, these waitresses/dancers will come to your table, do a little mini show/dance and then they will deliver the bottle to you.

One of the many VIP area facing the Ocean.

Infinity pool just in front of the Ocean.

We wanted a quieter place so we were led into a quieter lounges.

I ordered a passion fruit cocktail and Hoa ordered a Gin and Tonic but it was so watered down, that Hoa had to send it back.

Hoa then ordered a Negroni and it was better. We are so surprised that their cocktails were so bad to be in such a big club.

I am now walking around the property and this is the green area.

Everywhere we looked, there are pools, long pools, party pools, swim-up bars, each with its own vibe and crowd.

Panoramic view of the main pool, and the main Bar.

This pool is packed, people sipping drinks at the edge, groups posing for photos, others just hanging out half-submerged while the music thumps in the background.

I am standing at one of the most iconic viewpoints in Finns. This huge pool with the cement-edged that rises above the ground, feels like a stage for the whole club. Because it sticks out, everyone inside it is visible, and it becomes this big, social, lively centerpiece.

And right across is the two-story bar with the huge FINNS letters glowing above it is the main bar, feels like the heart of the whole place with music blasting, bartenders shaking cocktails nonstop, and constant movement on both levels. From the upper floor you get a perfect panoramic view of all the pools, all the zones, and straight out to the beach.

People dancing to music that is blasting in the air.

This bar is designed almost like an island, completely surrounded by the pool so it feels as if it’s floating in the middle of the action. People can swim right up to it from every side, making it one of the liveliest spots in the entire club.

Because the pool wraps around the bar, there’s never a quiet moment: swimmers drifting up for a drink, groups claiming sections of the edge, people leaning on the submerged stools, and the constant rhythm of the DJ echoing over the water. From the outside, the whole structure looks dramatic, clean concrete lines, glass, and the big glowing FINNS sign towering above the two-story bar.

As I move further, this area is a little more quiet with lots of benches to lay down..

Here is another pool, this one is a little more quiet and very shallow so you can sit inside the pool.

The entertainment never seems to pause with the staff parading around in glittery costumes with shimmering globes on their heads. It’s part nightlife, part beach club, part performance.

The staff makes it even more fun, they’re dressed in playful 70’s-style outfits, some rolling by on rollerblades like disco-era lifeguards, while others parade around in glittery costumes with shimmering globes on their heads. It’s part nightlife, part beach club, part performance.

Another beautiful VIP area. Infinity pool in front of the Ocean

At the infinity pool, the whole scene has this striking pop of color because all the umbrellas are a bright, sunshine yellow. It instantly gives the area a more upscale, curated feel, almost like a special zone within the club. When you look closer and see the COACH lettering on each umbrella, it all makes sense: it’s a sponsored section, and Finns has styled it to match the brand’s clean, bold aesthetic.

Between the sleek infinity edge, the sponsored umbrellas, and the panoramic ocean view, this part of Finns feels like a premium front-row seat to the sunset, stylish, branded, and perfectly timed for those golden-hour moments.

A couple with their cocktails and watching the waves rolling in.

The yellow umbrellas line the edge of the infinity pool, creating a beautiful contrast with the deep blue of the water and the ocean just beyond it. .

Right near the infinity pool, a dancing guy dressed up as a globe adds such a fun, surreal touch to the whole scene. His outfit literally looks like a giant shimmering sphere, almost like a human disco ball.

And then there’s that signature moment, right before sunset, when the staff walks around and folds all the umbrellas.

Staff carrying the umbrellas to store it away.

Suddenly the whole place opens up, and everyone has a clear view of the sky glowing over Berawa Beach. It becomes this shared pause in the middle of all the energy, where everyone turns toward the horizon, drink in hand, as the sun drops into the ocean.

The main pool with people sitting around watching for the sunset.

At the far end of the club, everything feels calmer and more cinematic. The infinity pool stretches right to the edge, and from where we area standing, it looks like the water dissolves straight into the ocean below.

People naturally drift toward the pool’s edge at this hour. You can see them lined up along the glass-like boundary of the infinity pool, some standing, some leaning forward with their arms resting on the edge, others holding drinks just above the water.

Everyone is facing the same direction, quietly watching the sky shift colors. The music feels softer here, blending with the sound of the ocean so that for a moment the whole club seems to pause.

The sun is glowing a deep, warm yellow as it begins its slow descent, and the whole scene feels almost surreal, bright, soft light reflecting on the water, silhouettes of people, and the waves rolling in beneath us.

Everyone settle down to watch the sunset.

The sun setting in the horizon.

This is a real nice place to watch the sunset.

As the sun sets, that bright orange glow spreads across the whole horizon, lighting up the waves and casting long silhouettes of all the people gathered on the sand. You can see groups scattered along Berawa Beach, some sitting on towels, some standing at the shoreline, others just walking slowly with the tide coming in.

The scene feels so alive: the soft roar of the ocean, the sky turning deeper orange, and the crowd both inside Finns and down on the beach all facing the same direction, watching the sun drop.

What a beautiful sunset.

As we made our way out of Finns, the energy shifts again and the place feels like it has multiple parties happening at once. We passed the main DJ area, where the music is loud, bass-heavy, and full of that late-afternoon party buzz.

The crowd is packed, people dancing, some up on the platforms, others in their swimsuits with drinks in hand.

Lights flash, the DJ is completely in the zone, and the whole area feels like the heartbeat of the club.

A little farther along, the vibe changes. we reached another zone where a live band is performing, and the atmosphere is warmer, more intimate. People gather around the small stage, some swaying, some just watching quietly. The sound of real instruments mixing with the ocean breeze feels completely different from the DJ’s energy, almost like a small concert tucked inside the larger party.
