There are many galleries so we are moving into another area with lots of flat screen TV.

Here we are watching videos utilizing multimedia and innovative techniques in the installation and display of his intricate designs to the screen.

Jean Paul answering a few questions ....

Me peeking out in the crown....

Jean Paul Gaultier explaining the poster.  The poster was design by Pierre et Gilles in 1990 specially to illustrate the cover of the autobiographical book "À Nous Deux la mode"

Ben Hur prototype chair are inspired by the gladiators.  Design by Jean Paul Gaultier in collaboration with Roche Bobois (famous furniture store in France) to mark the company’s 50th anniversary.

Ben Hur chair, the chariot of chairs, has an aluminum structure and a trendy velvet upholstering that comes in four colors: red, blue, green and yellow.

There are available at Roche Bobois!  Any takers?

We are entering a section called  “Boudoir” theme exploring Gaultier’s fascination with lingerie that was made most famous by the pointy bustier worn during Madonna’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour.

Old chest with lingerie sticking out!

The main himself!

Jean Paul has a very thick French accent but it is cute and he is very animated when he is talking!

I am looking at the famous Madonna cone bra corset he designed for her Blond Ambition Tour in 1990.

Madonna shipped the costumes specially for the exhibition.  Jean Paul told us that Madonna stored her costumes very carefully and wrapped them with silk paper.

I am wearing my 5" Christian Louboutin high heel, they are known to be very highly decorative, designed with style, rather than comfort in mind.  Needless to stay that after walking with them for 3 hours... my poor feet almost gave up!  :-) What we would not do to look good!

It is all about Madonna with the famous cone bras in display in the "Boudoir" section"!

Jean Paul Gaultier's childhood teddy bear models his first-ever cone bra.

So here is the story.. when Jean Paul was a young boy he wanted to have a doll but his dad told him that boy are not supposed to play with doll but he can have a teddy bear.  So he used his bear as a doll but sticking little cone bras even before cone bras was in fashion...

Guests standing around to hear Jean Paul Gaultier explaining something...

Perfume collection!  All the perfume bottles are designed by Jean Paul.

here is another gallery with different theme...

This dress is amazing!  It looks like leopard skin but it is actually beaded by hand.

close up at the details.

It took thousand of hours to complete this dress.  The details is so amazing!

Side view of the dress.

This dress is one of my favorite in the exhibit.  The front of the gown is a leopard appliqué made of beads and a simple georgette brown shirt dress.

"La Mariée" Wedding gown

The Hussars collection, haute couture fall/winter 2002-2003

Silk faille skirt with metal bodice and shoulder jewelry, headdress and train of silk tulle and feathers.

Circe ensemble from Buttons haute couture collection, spring/summer 2003.

The naked body suit.

jean Paul said the concept is to look naked without been naked!

Close look at the nude  body suit.  This is pretty out of there...It will take a lot of guts to be able to wear this outfit.

There is another version of  this sequined “nude” gown that was worn by male actor Gael Garcia Bernal in the Pedro Almodovar film “Bad Education” (2004).

The “Skin Deep” gallery features garments inspired by themes of bondage and body art, including one design that looks like the muscles of the human body.

The French designer gives “body suit” a whole new meaning by constructing clothing that resembles human musculature– complete with veins and internal organs.

Close look of the “body suit” decorated with muscles and veins.

Close look of the human heart body suit.

Skirts for men!  Gaultier believes skirts aren’t just for women.

"Calligraphie" gown, from the Cages collection, haute couture fall/winter 2008–2009

That is the end of the exhibit!

Okay so the tour was amazing!  Jean Paul was a great host and his clothes are so beautiful.  Some are so weird (in a good way) and some are so classy and elegant.
