The food-4 Courses dinner

For Christmas the restaurant only offers the Christmas week-end dinner.  We had a choice for 4 coursed for $85, a 5 courses for $100 and a 6 courses dinner for $115.

We all agreed to go with the 4 courses dinner.

The first course -Soup or Salad

Kevin and I we decided to go with the lobster bisque with Matsutaki mushroom and lobster quenelles.

The waiter gave us a bowl with the Matsutaki mushroom and lobster quenelles without any liquid then once proceed to pour the soup inside our cup.

The bisque is not as creamy as I wish it could be.  The lobster taste was a bit overwhelming.  Kevin did not like it and for me it was just okay but I like the lobster quenelles and the mushroom.

Hoa ordered the Chestnut Soup with Black trumpet mushroom and truffled foie Gras flan.

This is an amazing soup.  The Foie gras Flan was delicious and the chestnut soup was simply tasty.  Too bad I did not order this one so I only had a spoon.

Eating my soup slowly...

Brioche house made!  They only serve you one brioche at the time.

The second course -Sea food

Kevin and Hoa ordered the Massachusets Dayboat Sea Scallops served of a bed on celery root soubise and crisp pork belly.

The scallops were perfectly seared!  The pork belly was excellent and went so well with the scalopps.

Excellent dish!

I went with the Dungerness crab Risotto with meyer lemon and white truffle butter.

The risotto was very good and I like the meyer lemon scent in the risotto.  I don't think this is an exceptional dish but it is good!

The third course -Meat

Hoa and Kevin ordered the braised filet of beef cheek with cauliflower puree and bordelaise sauce.

Good dish but I think Kevin rather have a rib-eye steak.

I went with the Sonoma Duck Breast with Kabocha squash, Swiss char, and pomegranate jewels.

The duck was perfectly cooked!

Hoa and Kevin enjoying their meal!

This is the end of the first 3 course and all we have left is dessert!

Next...Dessert and Coffee
