Cocktail at the bar

Our reservation at the dining room was at 7:00Pm and since we have about 30 minutes to kill Hoa wanted to have a cocktail at the bar.  The bar was pretty empty when we got there but I was told that they get busy much later.  This is a really nice and relaxing atmosphere where you can stroll out onto the outdoor covered patio, but since I am always cold, I am sticking inside, seating at the plush and comfortable sofa.

On my way to the bar, waiting by the elevator. They have chairs next to the elevators so I am just sitting waiting for it to arrive.

This is what you see when you walk in the Bar...

It is very empty! I think there are a few customers sitting outside in the covered Patio.

Kevin and I, sitting while Hoa is ordering a Gin and Tonic.

Kevin and Hoa... The bar is just behind.

The Dining room

The only hotel-run restaurant in Los Angeles with a Michelin Star. The Dining Room also received exceptional scores in the 2009 Zagat Los Angeles/Southern California Restaurant guide.

The chef is Michael Voltaggio the winner of season six of Top Chef.   To be honest, I’ve never watched Top Chef and had no idea who Michael Voltaggio but since the restaurant has 1 Michelin Star we decided to treat ourselves to a great meal.  We did not plan for this meal after touring the property we saw the restaurant and decide it we should give it a try.

As you walk in the Dinning room the menu is situated outside on the left corner.

Close look at the menu.

I am checking in with the hostess.
