Thanksgiving dinner - 11/26/2024

The feast

The turkey is roasted and ready to be served!

The turkey and ham are carved.

This year the turkey come out really good.  The white meat is super moist and the dark meat is very flavorful.

Ham is also very good.

Maily helping me carved the ham.

Sautéed shrimps in a shrimp paste with shallots and chives.

Here I am cutting the turkey breast and Maily is carving the Ham.

This year we have 8 side dishes.

All the dishes look so appetizing.

Vietnamese sticky rice with Lap Xuong, Shitake mushrooms, caramelized Gio (Vietnamese ham). and dried shrimps.

Herb stuffing

Roasted eggplant with babaganoush and pomegranate.

Crispy roasted potatoes.

Assorted grilled vegetables.

Mixed salad with romaine, cucumber, tomatoes, roasted beet, avocado, and endives in a Dijon vinaigrette.

Maily made a corn casserole.

Maily also made a roasted acorn squash

Homemade cranberry sauce and on the right is where the gravy will be poured in.

It is time to eat!

Thanksgiving is a very nice time to have family and friends gathering over a great meal.

This is one of the plate with almost everything.

For dessert I made a Alsace style cheesecake and a custart tar with caramelized apple.

I love this cheese cake, so light and flavorful.

Custard apple tart is also delicious.

I also made a panna cotta with passion fruit juice.

Jaxon has grown so much since we last saw him.  He is such a happy boy and so fun to be around.

Thanksgiving was a success this year.  The turkey turned out to be excellent and all the side dishes was also very yummy.  We are very happy to have everyone over for dinner and to spend some time around a convivial table for the start of the holidays.
