Our Garden in the Spring- 3/2/12

Cherries trees Our garden in the spring

In the Spring our garden is full of flowers and it is so nice to see all the plants coming back to life!

This is our aristocrat pear with blossoms.  Aristocrat pear is an ornamental tree used for landscaping and it does not produce pears.  The blossoms are gorgeous and the leaves are also very pretty.

In the spring the tree produce wonderful cheerful white flowers.

This is how the tree looks like in the summer when the flowers are all gone and the leaves are taking over...

White climbing roses before they are blooming.

White climbing roses in full bloom.

The roses do not last very long.. a few weeks at best.

This picture was taking in June on a hot day.  Every thing is so green...

Pink magnolia flowers in full bloom. They are so pretty and I love them.

More views of the pink Magnolia flowers.

The colors are so pretty, deep magenta before the buds open, dark pink when open, and pale pink as the flowers fade. Part of what makes the tree so beautiful is the lack of leaves getting in the way. I also love the light fragrance. It doesn’t smell as lemony as a traditional big Southern Magnolia, but they give out a bit of sweetness in the air.

I don't know the name of this tree but the purple flowers are gorgeous!

Cherry blossoms...

California poppies are pretty with vibrant orange flowers.

And of course my handsome dog Rocky hanging around in the garden and on the look out for squirrels or wild rabbits to chase after...

Amazing bright fuchsia bush

A yellow rose bud...

Pink daisies.

African daisies.

White daisies with fern in the back ground.

White daisies are filled with simplicity and grace, they are perfect little flowers representing innocence and purity. White daisies are simply beautiful!

Agapanthus is also commonly known as the Lily of the Nile, African Blue Lily, and African Lily.  Agapanthus flowers bloom in large round clusters or umbels of blue, white or violet-blue. The Agapanthus flowers grow at the end of a thick 2 to 4 foot tall stem. The Agapanthus clusters measure about 6 to 8 inches across.

I also have white Agapanthus.  These flowers are located in the front yard. This plant requires very low maintenance and the flowers last for a long time.

Our orange tree... The oranges are actually pretty good!

Until next Spring!
