Bei Dajie (North street)

 Bei Dajie (North Street) known as the “one kilometer long street with a thousand shops,” Bei Dajie is one of the best preserved ancient streets in China with buildings dating back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). With hundreds of open-air shops, restaurants and cafés, you can easily spend an afternoon here.

 

Lots of shops selling snacks.

 

Fried grasshoppers is a very popular snack.

China is one of the largest markets of edible insects.

Wrapped Zonzhi is a popular snack.

 

Braised pork wrapped in palm tree leaves is one of the local dish that is very popular.

 

Beside food there are also a lot of shops selling souvenirs.

 

We are now headed to the North of Zhujiajiao.  View of the Jingtinggang river.
