Table set up/Starter & Soup Thanksgiving dinner The kitchen

 

This year I have so much help in the kitchen so it was just a breeze to put everything together.

All the dishes are prepared during the day and then re-heated when we are ready to serve.

Of the left is pan seared eggplant, and on the right is the butternut squash soup.

Platting the 2nd course: butternut squash soup with crouton and whipped cream.

Putting the finishing touch and the soup is ready to be served.

 

Caramelized pearl onion on the left, gravy on the top.

Reheating the food with my Cang and Chi Be.

Adding milk and butter to the pot of mashes potatoes.  Cang is stirring the pot so the bottom does not burn.

Roasted peppers to be served with the leg of lamb.

 

Roasted sweet potatoes, yam, and purple potatoes.

 

   

Trang and Helene helping me plate the sweet potatoes.

 

Roasted turkey.  I already carved it and covered it with a plastic wrap so I can reheat when ready to be served.

Helene is done prepping the crab meat and she is cleaning up.

I am platting the first course: crab salad on Endive, and a truffle oil infused egg custard.

Here I am slicing the Roasted Lamb and platting.

Dessert is ready and I am slicing the plum cake. 

 

Dinner is ourve and it is clean up time....
