Strawberries tart - 4/21/07
My second dessert for the evening is a classic strawberries tart with almond filling.
Beside the strawberries I added a few blackberries and I sprinkled a few smashed pistachio's nuts to give some color and a crunch. For a nice sheen, I brushed the strawberries with my left over kumquats syrup that I used to candied my Kumquats.
I just bought this long rectangle mold from Sur la Table. If you ever need pastry molds, Sur la Table got them all. They are pricey but they should last forever.
Preparation work..
I made enough Pâte Sucrée for the two tarts (the kumkaqs tart and this one) so I am actually saving a bit of time on the dough. Here I am assembling the tart. |
