Hoa's Birthday and Pakalolo-5/15/2021

Appetizers/Guests
Mark is in charge of supplying the Pakalolo and he came a few minutes early to set up the joints, ash trays, and lighters for everyone.
The last time Hoa smoked a joint was over 40 years ago and now the weed industry is a lot more sophisticated.
The joints are individually wrapped and they come in two different strength.
Appetizers
A few of our guests are here and I am putting all the appetizers together to be served in the backyard.
The first appetizer is a mango salsa with sautéed shrimps.

I usually use "Kent" mango but they are not in season, but I was so glad to find Manilla mango and it was good subsitute as the mangoes are really sweet and fragrant.

Home made Boquerone (anchovies)
Toasted baguette, Boquerone, and marinated chopped tomatoes.

Champagne is poured to celebrate Hoa's birthday.

Per Hoa's request, Mark took care of bringing the Pakalolo and is explaining there are two different strength and who would like to give it a try.

Hoa making a short speech and saying that he has not smoked since his early 20's and is excited to give it a try.
He does not remember much about his experience back then and wanted to find out the effect now.
Hoa's face is covered but here he is taking a few puffs and Dora is watching him...
Cindy is giving a try with Duy and Minh giving her some advice.
Looks like Andrew and Minh are showing Cindy the way...
