Walk around campus

It is extremely cold in Dalian in December!  The temperature drop to -10 °C = 14°F.  As you can see there is snow of the ground..

View of a few buildings outside of the office.

Looks like a chateau somewhere in Europe!

The buildings are pretty grandiose and built to last a few life time.

This definitely looks like we are in Europe more than in China.

Nice walk way... Remember it is freezing out there!

Turned out the architecture in Dalian are heavily influenced by the Russian.  In 1898 the Russian Empire succeeded in leasing the peninsula from the Qing Dynasty and under their leadership modernized the city by contributed more than 10 million golden rubles (equivalent to 11.5 billion of today's into the city foundation and building.

And the result is definitely seen here in the buildings around the city.

Everybody is bundle up for the cold weather.

Inside the restaurant there is a large display of fish for people to pick for lunch or dinner.

Another private room...

Sitting down for lunch.

Lunch or dinner it does not matter.. everyday is a feast...

That is a huge portion with the fish that somebody in the group picked.

Dinesh looking a bit intimidated with the huge portion!

Chinese snails!

They are pretty good according to Hoa.

Next.. Day 3- Japanese Dinner
