Chocolate & Strawberries for Valentine - 2/14/09
Every February 14, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine! This year I decided to make a batch of strawberries dipped in semi sweet chocolate and drizzled with white chocolate.
Happy Valentine Day!
Valentine's day is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery such as chocolate or sweets.
The strawberries dipped in chocolate are also delicious with a nice glass of champagne and it is a good way to start the evening!

Preparation work..

Cleaning the Strawberries and making sure they are dry. |
Melting semi sweet chocolate with butter and cream |

Dipping the strawberries into the melted chocolate. |
Here I am putting the dipped strawberries on a tray lined with wax paper. |

Now that all the strawberries are dipped in chocolate I need to let the chocolate set (about 30 minutes) |
The dark chocolate is now set! Here I am adding a second layer of white chocolate on top. |
