Double Chocolate Financiers - 10/25/08
I love Financiers and I made them regularly but this time I wanted to try something a little different and decided to enhance the flavor by adding chocolate. For this recipe I combined cocoa powder in the dough and then added some chocolate chips for a more intense chocolate taste result.
Financiers are soft little almond cake and they are great as a snack. They are baked in a special square mold to resemble a gold bar, hence the name Financier

The chocolate Financiers turned to be very good. There is honey in this recipe and I could really taste it! For an even more intense taste of chocolate, I drizzled some warm chocolate sauce on top of the cake and let me tell you it was so good. |
