Sticky Toffee Pudding -3/8/08
Sticky Toffee Pudding is a traditional British dessert. It is a wickedly delicious warm dessert, consisting of a light, moist cake flavored with dates, which is then topped with a decadent sticky toffee sauce. It can be now found throughout the U.K., everywhere from the humblest inn to the finest restaurants.

The cake is very moist and so tasteful combined with the toffee sauce it is just heavenly |
The next time I make this cake I will need to double the sauce. It was barely enough for our group. |
|
The sauce is made with brown sugar, butter, cream and brandy! No wonder it is so tasty and decadent! |

Preparation work..
|
The dates are chopped into small pieces. |
Next they are placed in a pot with water and bring to a boil. |
|
Baking soda is added to the boiling mixture causing it to foam. |
The butter is creamed first and then sugar and eggs are added and then beaten. |
|
Flour and the date mixture is added then mixed together |
Once it is mix together the dough is then poured into a baking mold. |

The cake is then baked and once it is ready to be served I just cut the cake into portion and poured the hot toffee sauce on top.
