Strawberry tart with crème pâtissière filling - 9/29/07
Since I bought a whole case full of strawberries and I only used about half of them for the chocolate dipped Strawberries, my next dessert is a classic French strawberry tart (I need to use all of the strawberries). I made this tart many time before but this time I opted for a crème pâtissière filling which is like a custard.
Make sure to pick a rectangular mold for your fruit tart because when you are ready to serve it is much easier to divide into portions.. The fruits will stay in the cut portion. In a round mold when you are ready to cut the tart the fruits will fall out all over the place.
Here are all the desserts I made for Rachel's party. A strawberries tart, an apple pie, a beautiful center piece filled with dipped Strawberries in Chocolate and a berry cake |
