Day 1- Bari old town continuation

The old town is like a maze so we just kept going...
Isn't this lovely? They put tables and chairs for people to have a drink under and arched walkway

Our first day in Italy and we are all happy to be with Ngeun and Catherine.

The old town is actually really nice and clean.
We are now back to the main square.
The Basilica of Bari is on the left.

Coffee shop with lots of people sitting outside and enjoying a nice warm day.

A local elderly lady making orecchiette in front of her house and selling a bag for 3 Euros.
Orecchiette pasta (ear pasta) is the symbol of traditional and local cuisine of Bari.

Moving on.....

We also noticed there are a lot of shrines through out the old town with Saint Nicholas shrine.

We are now headed toward the New port
Right at the exit of the old town is the Castello Svevo di Bari (The Swabian castle of Bari) with a large moat.
We don't have time to visit the castle but we will come back another day.
