Montmatre - Day 2 Con't
Montmartre is primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Cœur located on the summit hill of Montmatre, also known as la butte de Montmartre. The hill is about 130 meters high = 425 feet high so be prepared to bring comfortable shoes to go up... Many artists had studios or worked around the community of Montmartre such as Salvador Dalí, Modigliani, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh.

This area is behind the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur wherel ots of artists, mostly painters, are displaying their paintings or crafts. It is a very lively area and it is fun to walk around.
