Day 4- Saint-Jacut-de-la Mer-9/29/2023
Saint-Jacut-de-la-mer is a small town on a peninsula a few kilometers from Dinard and located on the Emerald coast of Brittany.
The town is famous for its fishing sport and shellfish farming sites.
The peninsula is fairly small and we found a place to park our car near the beach.
Sandy beach.
The peninsula is really pretty.
Wild flowers in the area.
A nice walk around the tip of the peninsula: Pointe du Chevet
Beautiful flowers along the way...
View of the Bay of Arguenon
straight ahead is an area where they are farming oysters.
You can see a lot of wooden posts in the ground
Here you can really see the posts that made up an oyster farm.
Panoramic view.
At low tide people go to the beach to collect oysters, crabs, and various shellfish.
These 2 guys asked us to take a picture for them and one thing lead to another and we started talking about their catch.
They got a bunch of oysters.
They are ranging from different sizes.
They also got crabs.
They told us next time to come back with rubber boots and to go down the beach and have fun collecting the shellfish around here.
They were so nice and so friendly to talk to.
We really had a great time with them.
