Day 7- Dinner at Taberna das Rua das Flores, Lisbon-5/16/2022

This restaurant was recommended by an American couple we met while dinning at Boi Cavalo in Lisbon.  They told us that we must stop by as the food is fantastic.

Taberna Da Rua das Flores do not take reservation.  First come first serve.  We showed up at 7:00pm and their door was closed.

They do not allow people to walk in and there is a huge sign on their window saying to wait at the door.

Finally the door opened and one of the waitress told us to come back at 8:30pm.

We came back at 8:30Pm and there are a bunch of people waiting to get in.

We are waiting for the waitress to come out and to let us know that our table is ready.

As you can see the restaurant is fairly small and I was told people lined up around 5:30Pm to get a table at 6:30pm when they first open their door.

The menu is hand written on a chalk board and it is changing very often.

This is a small area for all the waitress to work around.

Our table was in the middle of the room.

We ordered a bottle of white wine since most of food is going to be seafood.

Cheers.

To order food, the waiter/waitress will bring out a hand written board with all the dishes for evening.  You select from there so it is very interactive.

Scallop in brown butter- 14 Euros

Love this dish!  You can tell the scallops are super fresh as they have a sweet smell and the brown butter really enhanced the taste.

Clams in white sauce, cilantro- 11 Euros

Simple dish but very delicious.

Razor clams, ponzu sauce, and algae- 13 Euros

I love razor clams and this was a treat!

Tuna Tataki- 15 Euros

Another wonderful dish.

Pan seared foie gras on toast with Porto reduction-13 Euros.

The foie gras just melted in our mouth and it was very well prepared.

Hoa ordered a glass of Brandy-Curvada de Velha

For dessert I ordered a bread pudding.

Our bill came to 86 euros (including tax and service).  Again is Europe you are not obligated to tip but we always do.

Great service, great food.  This one is our favorite restaurant in Lisbon.

By the time we are done with our meal it was close to 11:00pm and there are still a lot of people waiting to get a table.

NEXT.... Day 8-Peniche
