Day  9 - Son Tran Peninsula and the Deck House, Da Nang-12/29/2023

On our way to Hoi An we drove by the Son Tran Peninsula and unlike other coastal areas in Da Nang, this area has benefited by a conservation order which has kept big resorts at bay, only two presently exist (the Intercontinental and Son Tra Resort). This means it remains a scenic escape from the rapidly growing urban area of Da Nang city.

Local fishing boats docking close to the beach.

Lots of colorful wooden fishing boats.

The boats are really close to the shore.

We are stopping at The Wood Deck in Hoi An for a quick drink.  Motorcycles parking in front of the Deck House.

Boats docking next to An Banh Beach.

Thuan is friend with the owner and he wanted us to check the Deck house.

Main entrance to the restaurant.

As soon as you walk in there is a long bar facing the beach.

The bar area.

Sitting area next to the bar and facing the beach.

Huge courtyard with outdoor seating.

Open outdoor seating area.

When the weather is nice, people lounge and relax in this area.

Stairs leading to An Bang Beach.

View of the beach

Comfortable sun chairs and umbrellas are provided free of charge if you are ordering food at the restaurant.

The beach is so relaxing especially when there are nobody around.
