Day 4- Sa Pa-12/24/2023

We are going to Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam and to get there we are taking a funicular train that connects the MGallery hotel with Sun Plaza that was built in the style of classic European architecture, featuring a large clock tower in front.

Sun Plaza is a 4-storey building, including a commercial center, restaurant, and Muong Hoa mountain train ticket office.

Sun Plaza Sa Pa was built by Sun Group, completed at the end of 2018. The building is designed in a classical architectural style, so it has a magnificent, splendid appearance like a European palace.

Christmas decorations right at the entrance under the dome.

We had to wait for all the passengers to get off the funicular before we can get on it. Muong Hoa mountain-climbing train is the most modern mountain climbing train in Vietnam, built and put into operation by March 31, 2018, and has soon become the new favorite mean of transportation in Sapa.

The funicular to Muong Hoa terminus takes about 15 minutes.

The Funicular in Sapa is the longest mountain climbing train in Vietnam” and was awarded to Muong Hoa Mountain Railway.

The funicular can hold over 200 passenger and the interior is reminiscent of an old train in Europe.

The park created an area that represent a Vietnamese minority tribe village.

The village is supposed to show how the Muong people, a minority tribe living in Sapa.  The Muong people (Hill tribes residing at high altitudes in the mountains) represent about 1.5% of the Vietnamese population.

The women are taking care of the little kids, they do lots of embroideries and cook.

Vietnam has officially 54 ethnic minority groups and is one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the World
