Day 5- Trek continuation, Sapa-12/25/2023

The Muong Hoa River meanders through the valley, providing a lifeline for the communities and a source of tranquility for people.

Red  Bridge over the river.

People walking under the bridge.

The bridge is leading to a local village.

View under the bridge

Numerous waterfalls grace the valley, some seasonal and others flowing year-round.

View under the bridge.

We are passing through local villages.

People usually plant vegetables around their house but it is winter and there is not much than can grow.

Houses surrounded by rice fields and a river.

Bridge over rice fields.

It was difficult to pass by as the road was so wet and our shoes are not waterproof.

Rice fields

Houses on the top of the hill with the rice paddies below them.

I can only image how pretty it is when the rice fields are golden adn ready for harvest.

Panoramic view.

We passed through a village and all the locals know each other. The H’Mong woman are always dressed in their traditional clothing.

A buffalo refuge.

Houses in the valley.

A village in the area.

Houses in the area

Beautiful surrounding.

Our tour guide told us that her house is the one in the bottom of the hill but I am not sure which one it is.

We have reached the bottom of the valley and at this is the end of our trek.

Once the tour is over, our tour guide took us to lunch.  We are in front of a chimney trying to keep warm.

Inside the chimney the restaurant is drying meat and sausages.
