10 days in Japan - 10/29/2022 to 11/7/2022

Day 8-Hiroshima

Day 9- Whisky Bar-11/6/22

After dinner, Hoa decided to go to Nagarekawa neighborhood for a drink.

Hiroshima at night.

We walked from Minamiku-Ku neighborhood to Nagarekawa neighborhood which is the ultimate party district.

A Starbucks located on the 2nd floor.  I am sure there is a great view from there.

Nagarekawa is fully illuminated with gazillions of neon lights.

It is a very lively district.

Hondori shopping street is a shopping district with more than 200 stores, including retail and service businesses.

Lots of stores

Boutiques along the way...

In Japan people eat out a lot and it seems like all the restaurants are always full of people.

A Restaurant along the way.

We arrived at our destination.  Bar Kirkwall is located at the end of the hall.

The bar is located in Nagarekawa neighborhood, downtown in Hiroshima.

Kirkwall is derived from the Scottish English word for :church wall"

The bar is fairly small with 10 seats.

Hoa wanted to dry some Japanese Whisky so the bar tender brought our a bunch of them.

After a lengthy discussion on what Hoa likes, our bar tender suggested the following bottles.

Our bar tender behind the counter.

Hoa ended choosing Sakurao Sherry cask, Single malt.

I told our bar tender to make me something fruity so here he is putting the cocktail together using Peche de vigne by Clos du Chateau.

He added pineapple juice, Blue Curacao liqueur, and many things more...

Here he is shaking the cocktail

He uses a really nice chill glass and pour the cocktail over.

I love this cocktail!

Our bar tender paired our drinks with an assortment of chocolate.

Hoa wanted to try a smokey whisky similar to Lagavulin.  He recommended a few bottles and in the end Hoa chose Ichiro's malt Chichibu

Cheers to our last night in Hiroshima
