Belforte restaurant in vernazza

Belforte restaurant been around for 50 years or so and managed by local families, and known for its incredible position, perched on a rock and overlooking the sea .

The restaurant specialized in local products and famous for Ligurian cuisine.

Steps going up to the restaurants.

They have many terraces at different level. This is the first terrace you see when you off the stairs.

Look above and you will see 2 more terraces above.

This terrace is the lower point of the restaurant.

This is a really cute and romantic spot to dine.

Amazing view of the sea and the horizon from here.

This portion inside is the bar and the toilets. Nobody wanted to sit here for sure.

Our table is at the highest level of the tower.

Beside the sea, there is also the view of the mountain.

Our table was not quite ready so they sat us temporarily at this table and gave us champagne while waiting.

Our table is now ready and we got the best spot, right in the corner with an amazing view.

Everywhere you look, the view is just magnificent.

Cured anchovies in oil , fried anchovies, and cured anchovies in vinegar.

We love anchovies and we are enjoying every single bite!

On to red wine while it is getting darker.

The sun is setting in the horizon.

Mix grilled of freshly caught seafood.

Everything on this plate is so fresh and so delicious.

Squid ink Tagliolini with shrimps

Both dishes were so yummy! The pasta is cooked to perfection, the sauce and the shrimps are simply delicious.

We ate everything! There isn't a thing left after we are done with our meal.

It is definitely getting darker and in the distance you see the lights in Monterosso, the 5th fishing village.

For dessert we ordered a panna cotta with chocolate sauce.
