Day 6- Cinque Terre-5/24/2022

Dinner at Trattoria Macelleria, Riomaggiore

We did not have dinner reservation so we are just walking on Via Columbo (the main street down town) and we saw Macelleria Trattoria.

The restaurant is specializing is meat and Hoa is craving for a good piece of meat.

The restaurant is fairly small but we came earlier and they were able to give us a table.

Bread basket and Hoa ordered a bottle of red wine since we are having meat tonight.

The pasta is made is house and I selected the Scilatielli served with stewed beef ragu - 14 Euros

Love the pasta, great texture, perfectly cooked, and the ragu is flavorful and delicious.

Hoa ordered the rack of lam with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables - 28 euros

Nice presentation!  The rack of lamb was delicious.!

Homemade Tiramisu - 7 euros

One of the best tiramisu!

Cheers to a very good meal. 

The owner is an Italian from New York but she left years ago to set up shop in Riomaggiore and is enjoying the Italian way of life and told us she will never return to New York to live again.

We finished our meal and it is now time to pay!

We are now going back to our apartment and to get there we have to take the stairs going down to the marina.

Our apartment is the narrow pink building on the left, our window is above the entrance door on the 2nd floor.

It must be around 9:00/9:30pm, and a lot people are still hanging around.

Some people brought food and wine and just around to enjoy the view.
